Phoebe Philo can be partially credited with starting the craze via the bags she created for Celine, which come in extra small styles like the Nano Shopper and the Micro Shopper, both of which are hugely popular with fashion insiders. In addition to Celine, we’re also quite enamored with the long-strap mini bags presented at the Valentino F/W 11 show.
Mini bags is the most comfortable thing world of fashion and that’s why women seem to be engaging with their bags in much the same way that tech-junkies engage with their smartphones; they might look frivolous, but function is a large part of the appeal.
